Chapter 1 General Provisions

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to stipulate rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users and the Korean Fracture Society and other necessary matters while using the integrated member service (hereinafter, referred to as "Service") provided by the Korean Fracture Society (hereinafter, referred to as "the Korean Fracture Society") homepage.

  These Terms and Conditions shall be effective after notifying users by posting them on the service screen or by other means and when users who agree to them subscribe to the service.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society may revise the content of these Terms and Conditions if it is deemed necessary and the revised Terms and Conditions shall be notified on the service screen for users to check them themselves.
• ③
  If users do not agree to the revised Terms and Conditions, they may stop using the Service and cancel their membership registration and if they continue to use it, it shall be deemed that they agree to the revision of the Terms and Conditions and the revised Terms and Conditions shall be effective in the same method as the previous Paragraph.
• ④
  If users agree to the content of these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall be applied first to the act of providing the Service by the Korean Fracture Society and the use of the Service by the users. Matters not specified in these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by telecommunications basic act, telecommunications business act, the act on the promotion of information and communications network utilization and information protection, the deliberation regulations of the broadcasting communications commission, the ethics code of information and communications, program protection act and other relevant regulations and conventions of Korea.

  Definitions of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows.

  1. User: member and non-member who access the Service and receive the Service provided by the Korean Fracture Society
  2. Member: a person who accesses the Service, agrees to these Terms and Conditions, receives ID and PASSWORD to be issued and goes through the verification process such as text verification
  3. Non-member: a person who uses the Service provided by the Korean Fracture Society without subscription to membership
  4. ID: a combination of alphabets and numbers selected by a user and approved by the Korean Fracture Society for member identification and member's use of the Service
  5. PASSWORD: a combination of letters and numbers set by the user him/herself for the protection of the member's information
  6. Cancellation of Usage: expression of the intention to terminate the agreement on the usage after the use of the Service by the Korean Fracture Society or the member

  The definitions of the terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall be in accordance with the relevant laws and instructions by service except as stipulated in Paragraph 1.

Chapter 2 Service Use Agreement

The use agreement shall be concluded by the user's consent to Terms and Conditions and the approval of the user's application for the use by the Korean Fracture Society.

Users may apply for the use by recording their personal information in the membership application form required by the Society on the membership information screen of the Service.

  The Korean Fracture Society accepts the application for use of the Service unless there are special circumstances when the application is made with the details specified in Article 5.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society may restrict the use of some services until the reason for the restriction is resolved if it falls under the following subparagraphs.

  1. If the content is found to be false (borrowed name, etc.) or if there is a reasonable reason to suspect it.
  2. When deemed necessary by the Korean Fracture Society.
• ③
  The Korean Fracture Society may restrict the application for the use in the following cases.

  1. The Korean Fracture Society may restrict the use of some services if the user practices the following acts until the reason for the restriction is resolved.
  2. When the content of the application is false.
  3. When applying for the purpose of hindering the well-being, order or customs of the society.
  4. When other requirements set by the Korean Fracture Society are not met.

Members may view and revise their information at any time through member information management. When the information that a member filled out in the application for use has changed, it should be corrected and the member shall be responsible for any problems caused by the failure to correct the information.

Chapter 3 Provision and Use of Service

• ①
  The Service will start from the moment when the Korean Fracture Society accepts a member's application for use. However, some services start from the specified date.
• ②
  In the event that the Service cannot start due to business or technical obstacles of the Korean Fracture Society, it shall be announced on the website or notified to the members.
• ③
  In principle, the use of the Service shall be 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, the Service may be suspended for business or technical reasons of the Korean Fracture Society and may be temporarily unavailable for a period determined by the Korean Fracture Society for operational purposes such as regular inspections. In such a case, the Korean Fracture Society shall notify it in advance or after.

  Even after joining the membership, some services may be available to certain members only as required by the service provider.
• ⑤
  The Korean Fracture Society may divide the Service into a certain range and determine the available time for each range. In this case, the details shall be notified in advance.

• ①
  In the event that the messages stored in the Service or transmitted or other communication messages are not able to be stored or are deleted due to national emergency, power outrage, failure of service equipment beyond the control of the Korean Fracture Society or other force majeure, members agree that the Korean Fracture Society is not responsible for the failure of transmission and other loss of communication data.
• ②
  In the event that the Korean Fracture Society has to suspend the Service temporarily due to difficulties in providing normal service, it shall notify it a week before the suspension of the Service and the Korean Fracture Society shall not be responsible for the members' not being aware of the notification during this time. If there are considerable reasons, the above advance notice period may be reduced or omitted. In addition, if the messages stored in the Service or transmitted or other communication messages are not stored or are deleted due to the above suspension of the Service, the Korean Fracture Society shall not be responsible for failure to transmit and loss of communication data.
• ③
  If the Service should be permanently discontinued due to circumstances of the Korean Fracture Society, Paragraph 2 shall apply. However, in this case, the prior notice period shall be one month.
• ④
  The Korean Fracture Society may temporarily revise, modify or stop the Service after prior notice and shall not bear any responsibility to the members or third parties for it.
• ⑤
  If a member violates these Terms and Conditions, the Korean Fracture Society may suspend the use of the Service temporarily. In this case, the Korean Fracture Society may prohibit the member's access and delete all or part of the contents posted by the member at its discretion.
• ⑥
  For a long-term inactive member, the use of the Service may be stopped after a notice period of one week after the notice e-mail or the announcement of notice.

• ①
  The Korean Fracture Society may provide various information and advertisements deemed necessary for the members' use of the Service via e-mail, post, SMS, DM, or messenger and members may unsubscribe it if they receive unwanted information.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society may post advertisements, etc. on the service screen or homepage or via e-mail in relation to the operation of the Service and the Korean Fracture Society considers that the members who intend to use the Service agree to the posting of the advertisements.
• ③
  The Korean Fracture Society shall not be responsible for any loss or damage caused by the result of communication or transaction of a member participating in advertisers' promotions posted on the Service or through the Service.

• ①
  The Korean Fracture Society may delete any contents posted or registered by a member on the Service without prior notice if they are determined to fall under the following subparagraphs and the Korean Fracture Society shall not take any responsibility for this.

  1. In case of defamation or slander of the Korean Fracture Society, other member, or a third party
  2. In case of violation of public order and morals
  3. If the content is deemed to be related to a criminal activity
  4. In case of infringement of copyrights or other rights of a third party
  5. In case of information that does not conform to the nature of the Service
  6. If it violates other related laws and regulations prescribed by the Korean Fracture Society

  The Korean Fracture Society shall reserve the right to edit, move or delete the contents posted on the Service after 3-day prior notice and may delete posts without prior notice if the posted contents violate these Terms and Conditions or are commercial, illegal, or indecent or are posted by a terminated member.
• ③
  If the posted contents have elapsed for a certain period of time and lost the effect of the posting and its purpose of posting is unclear, the Korean Fracture Society may delete the posting after a notice period of one week after the announcement.

  The copyright of the post posted by the member in the Service belongs to the members and the Korean Fracture Society.
• ②
  The member shall bear all civic and criminal responsibilities caused by the member's posts infringing other's copyright, program copyright, etc.
• ③
  Members shall not process or sell the information obtained using the service and use the posts on the Service commercially.

• ①
  Intellectual property rights and other rights relating to services, necessary software, images, marks, logos, designs, service names, information, trademarks, etc. provided by the Korean Fracture Society.
• ②
  Except as expressly approved by the Korean Fracture Society, members shall not wholly or partially modify, rent, lend, sell, distribute, manufacture, transfer, re-license, use as collateral, or commercially use each property prescribed in paragraph 1 or allow third parties to do such acts.

Chapter 4 Obligations of Contracting Parties

  The member shall provide complete information corresponding to the current facts when signing up for the use of the Service (hereinafter, referred to as "Subscription Information"). Furthermore, if there is a change in the Subscription Information, it should be updated immediately.
• ②
  When the member completes the registration process for using the Service, he/she will receive an ID and password. To manage a member's ID and password,

  1. If a problem arises with the use of password and ID without the member's approval, it shall be reported to the Korean Fracture Society immediately.
  2. The member must log out at the end of every connection.
• ③
  The member shall agree not to do the following while using the Service.

  1. The act of harming others (including minorities)
     • A.
       The act of impersonating with another person's ID and password and others
     • B.
       The act of falsely indicating a relationship with others
     • C.
       The act of defamation by specifying facts or making a false statement for the purpose of slandering others
     • D.
       The act of disseminating false information for the purpose of giving property benefits to the member him/herself or to others or harming others
     • E.
       The act of disturbing other people's daily lives by continuing to reach others with words, sounds, texts, images or videos that cause shame, disgust or fear
     • F.
       The commercial act using the Service without the prior approval of the Korean Fracture Society
     • G.
       The act of stealing and using another person's communications service name
  2. The act of posting unnecessary or unauthorized advertisements or promotions or recommending, posting, publishing or e-mailing "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "repetitive spams", "pyramid organization", etc.
  3. The act of posting, publishing or e-mailing vulgar or obscene data, texts, software, music, photos, graphics or video messages (hereinafter, "Contents")
  4. The act of posting or e-mailing Contents without rights (all rights including intellectual properties)
  5. The act of posting, publishing or e-mailing a software virus intended to destroy, disrupt, or limit the functionality of any computer software, hardware, and telecommunications equipment
  6. The act of collecting or storing other user's personal information by posting, publishing, or e-mailing materials containing other computer codes, files and programs
  7. The act of gambling or speculation with properties
  8. The act of distributing information on the content of arranging prostitution or mediating sexual activities
  9. Other illegal or unjust acts

  The members shall comply with the provisions of these Terms and Conditions and related laws.

• ①
  The Korean Fracture Society shall allow a member to use the Service on the start date of the Service application, unless there is a special situation.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society is obliged to provide the Service continuously and reliably in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
• ③
  In the event that a member suffers a damage due to the Service provided by the Korean Fracture Society, the Korean Fracture Society shall be held responsible only if such a damage occurs due to the intention or gross negligence of the Korean Fracture Society and the scope of the responsibilities shall be limited to ordinary damages.
• ④
  The Korean Fracture Society shall promptly handle opinions or complaints raised by a member if they are deemed to be fair. However, if prompt handling is difficult, the member must be notified of the reason and the handling schedule.
• ⑤
  The Korean Fracture Society shall endeavor to protect the members' personal information including member registration information in accordance with relevant laws. With regard to the protection of members' personal information, the contents of the relevant laws and Article 16 shall be observed.

• ①
  The Korean Fracture Society collects information about members through the information provided by members when applying for use and the members' personal information is used for the purpose of implementing this agreement of use and providing the Service in this agreement of use.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society shall not disclose or disseminate the members' information obtained in relation to the provision of the Service without the members' consent to a third party and shall not use it for commercial purposes. However, this does not apply to the following cases:

  1. In case there is a request from a relevant authority for investigating purposes under the relevant statutes.
  2. In case there is a request from Korea Communications Standards Commission.
  3. In case there is a request in accordance with the procedures prescribed by other relevant statutes.

Chapter 5 Termination of Agreement

• ①
  When a member wishes to terminate the agreement of use, he or she shall apply for the termination directly to this site through the Internet.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society may require the change of a member's ID or password or change them for reasons such as security, ID policy, smooth provision of the Service, etc.
• ③
  The Korean Fracture Society may terminate the agreement of use without prior notice if the member does any of the following:

  1. If the data provided by the member is found to be false.
  2. If it involves a criminal activity.
  3. When planning to use the Service or implementing it for the purpose of undermining national interests or social and public interests.
  4. In case of stealing someone else's service ID and password.
  5. In case of damaging other's reputation or disadvantaging others.
  6. In case of impairing the healthy use of the Service, such as harming the Service.
  7. In case of violation of other relevant laws or the conditions of use set by the Korean Fracture Society.

Chapter 6 Other

Members shall not transfer or endow the right to use the Service and other contractual status to others and shall not use it as collateral.

Chapter 7 Compensation for Damages, etc.

The Korean Fracture Society shall not be held liable for any damages incurred to the members in connection with the free Service except in the event that such damages are caused by the significant negligence of the Korean Fracture Society.

  The Korean Fracture Society shall be exempted from responsibility for failing to provide the Service if this failure is caused by natural disasters or the equivalent force majeure.
• ②
  The Korean Fracture Society shall not be responsible for any service use impediments caused by reasons attributable to the member.
• ③
  The Korean Fracture Society shall not be held liable for expecting benefits by the member's using the Service or damages from the materials obtained through the Service.
• ④
  The Korean Fracture Society shall not be responsible for reliability, accuracy, etc. of the information, data and facts posted by the member on the Service.

• ①
  If there is a dispute between the Korean Fracture Society and its member in connection with the use of the Service, the Korean Fracture Society and the member shall make all necessary efforts to smoothly resolve the dispute.
• ②
  Notwithstanding the provision of paragraph 1, if a lawsuit is filed against a dispute arising from the use of the Service, the court governing the location of the Korean Fracture Society shall be the competent court.

Supplementary Provision (Effective Date)
These Terms and Conditions shall be effective from November 28, 2024.

1. Items of personal information collected and methods of collection

The Korean Fracture Society collects the following personal information for customer center and customer consultation.

• Name, business name, e-mail, phone, fax, login ID, password or the following information that may be generated and collected during the use of the service or the processing of the business
• Service usage record, access log, access IP information, cookie

2. Purposes of collecting and using personal information

The Korean Fracture Society collects personal information in the following methods.

• Customer Center, customer consultation bulletin board

The Korean Fracture Society uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.

• Handling and reporting of service requests, answers to customers' questions
• Use for marketing and advertising
• Delivering new service (product) development information in the customer consultation

3. Providing and sharing personal information

In principle, The Korean Fracture Society does not provide the users' personal information outside. However, exceptions are made in the following cases.

• In accordance with regulations of laws or in case there is a request by the investigation agency for the purpose of investigation in accordance with the procedures and methods prescribed in laws

4. Consignment of handling of collected personal information

The Korean Fracture Society does not consign the handling of the customer' personal information to an outside company without the customer's consent. If such a need arises in the future, we will notify the customer of the subject for the consignment and the details of the consigned work and, if necessary, obtain prior consent.

5. Retention and use period of personal information

In principle, after the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved, the corresponding information is destroyed without delay. However, the following information will be retained for the period specified for the following reasons.

• Login ID, password, business name, name, e-mail, phone, fax
  • Reasons for retention: handling and reporting of the work requested by customer and sending an operation report
  • Period of retention: when destroying the operation contract

6. Procedure and method of destroying personal information

In principle, The Korean Fracture Society destroys the corresponding information without delay after achieving the purpose of collecting and using personal information. The destroying procedure and method are as follows.

• Procedure of destruction
  • After the purpose is achieved, the information entered by the member for membership is destroyed after being stored for a certain period of time according to the reasons for protecting the information (see Period of Retention and Use) under internal policies and other relevant laws. This personal information shall not be used for any purpose other than to be retained unless in accordance with the law.
• Methods of Destruction
  • The personal information printed on paper shall be shredded using a shredder or incinerated.
  • The personal information stored in an electronic file shall be deleted by using a technical method that does not allow restoring the records.

7. Rights of user and legal representative and how to exercise them

Users and legal representatives may at any time view or modify the registered personal information of themselves or their children under the age of 14 and request termination of the membership.

To view and modify the personal information of the users or their children under the age of 14, click 'Change Personal Information' (or 'Change Member Information') and to cancel membership (withdraw consent), click "Cancel Membership" and after verification of the identification, direct view, modification or cancellation can be done.

Or if you contact the person in charge of personal information management in writing, by phone or by e-mail, it will be processed without delay.

If you request a correction for a personal information error, the personal information shall not be used or provided until the correction is completed. In addition, if the wrong personal information has already been provided to a third party, the corrected information will be notified to a third party without delay, so that the correction can be made.

Or if you contact the person in charge of personal information management in writing, by phone or by e-mail, it will be processed without delay.

The Korean Fracture Society shall process the personal information cancelled or deleted at the request of a user or legal representative as specified in "Retention and use period of personal information collected by the Korean Fracture Society" and shall not view or use it for any other purposes.

8. Matters concerning the installation, operation and refusal of automatic collection devices

The Korean Fracture Society installs and operates a device that automatically collects personal information such as 'cookie' or 'session' that frequently finds and stores your information. Cookies are small text files that are sent to your browser by the server used for the operation of the website of the Korean Fracture Society and are stored in your computer hard disk.

The Korean Fracture Society uses cookies for the following purposes.

• Purposes of using cookies, etc. – Analyze the frequency of visits, visiting time, etc. of members and non-members, identify users' preferences and interests and track them, and find out the number of visits to provide the personalized services.

You have the option of installing cookies. Therefore, by setting the option in your web browser, you can allow all cookies, check them each time they are stored or refuse to save any cookies.

• How to refuse cookies
  • Example: As ways to refuse cookies, by selecting options in your web browser, you can allow all cookies, check them each time they are stored or refuse to save any cookies.
• How to set up (for Internet Explorer)
  • Tools at the top of the web browser > Internet Options > Personal Information

However, if you refuse to install cookies, there may be difficulties in providing the service.

You can report any complaints related to personal information protection arising while using the service of the Korean Fracture Society to the person in charge of personal information management or the relevant department. The company will give you a prompt and sufficient answer to the user's report.

All cancellations must be submitted via e-mail (info@lmce-kslm.org) to the Secretariat. All refunds will be processed after the congress and all processing rates will be deducted from the reimbursement. If you do not attend the congress without notice of cancellation, no refund will be given.

* Up to April 18 (Fri), 2025: A 100% of registration rate will be refunded.
* From April 19 (Sat), 2025: No refunds will be given for cancellations received on or after this date.
