This device measures the amount of occult blood and calprotectin in feces. The feces collected by the patient is mounted on the equipment to quantitatively measure the hemoglobin and calprotectin mixed in the feces. Hemoglobin in feces is a marker for early detection of bleeding in the colon, which can lead to early detection of bleeding in the digestive system and colon cancer. Calprotectin is an inflammatory protein and can be used to distinguish between inflammatory bowel disease and functional bowel disease by measuring the amount of calprotectin produced by inflammation of the intestinal mucosa. The principle of both tests is to detect Hb Ao and Calprotectin based on the latex agglutination reaction, and the OC-Auto Sampling Bottle 3 can be used to test FIT and Calprotectin simultaneously. An antigen-antibody reaction occurs with polystyrene latex particles, and the turbidity of the reacted sample is measured using an LED lamp at a wavelength of 660 nm, and the result is quantified and calculated.
