About us EONE Laboratories is one of leading diagnostic laboratory in South Korea. Started as a specialized radioimmunoassay laboratory in 1983, Eone laboratories has grown as a result of consistent efforts in adopting innovative techniques and quality control. With experienced specialists in laboratory medicine, pathologists, clinical scientists, and medical laboratory technicians, we are committed to providing informations and services to assure that correct tests are performed to make the right diagnostic decision. In 2013, we expanded our business in Songdo International Business District, which enables us to provide nation’s largest scale laboratory testing services with state-of-the-art laboratory facility. We offer broad access to clinical testing services through our national networks. Laboratory Medicine Implementing one of the largest scale clinical laboratory automation system in Asia, we boast our capacity of performing 200,000 tests within a single day in a swift and precise way. With fully automated laboratory equipment and laboratory information system(LIS), we can handle higher throughputs and comprise all the steps from specimen preparation to accurate data production. We also have contributed to introduce next-generation sequencing (NGS)-based gene panel tests to provide early diagnosis of intractable diseases, such as genetic diseases and cancers. Selected as an institution to perform COVID-19 tests based on such capabilities, we are committed to perform diagnostic tests of the pandemic from 2020 and provide accurate test results. Quality control We are doing our best to ensure accurate and prompt test reports by standardizing the entire process from sample collection to result reporting. Our efforts are officially approved as an excellent laboratory by participating in programs of control quality and certifications from home and abroad. We have obtained certifications from domestic institutions including the Korean Society for Laboratory Medicine, the Korean Association of External Quality Assessment Service, Korean Institute of Genetic Testing Evaluation, the Korean Society of Pathologists, and the Korean Society of Nuclear Medicine, as well as internationally recognized certifications such as CAP, NGSP, G-EQUAS, and CDC. Service & Support In our Customer Service Center, our experienced medical laboratory technicians provide helpful customer consultation services. With the established CTI (computer telephony integration) system, we constantly improve the quality of customer service. Furthermore, we exchange and provide information through booths presentation regarding new laboratory tests at various symposiums. MOG-EM (myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein encephalomyelitis) is an inflammatory demyelinating disease of the central nervous system(CNS) that typically presents with acute optic neuritis, myelitis, and brainstem encephalitis. MOG-EM was recently identified as a distinct disease entity within the field of inflammatory disorders of the CNS, such as multiple sclerosis (MS) and neuromyelitis optica with aquaporin4 IgG. Combination of MOG-Ab and Aquaporin-4 Antibody (AQP-4) tests of patients with the above clinical manifestations can help with the diagnosis of MOG-EM. In general, cell based assays (CBAs) have high analytical sensitivity and specificity, but comparing fixed CBA with live CBA, it is known that the live CBA gives better performance (positive predictive value 95~100%) The MOG-Ab and AQP4-Ab test implemented in Eone Laboratories use fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS) live CBAs with very high sensitivity and specificity (up to 100%).
